Where am I From?

Our Organic Turmeric is grown in the Kerala region, known as "India's Spice Garden". Our producer works with small artisan farmers throughout the growing process to make farming a viable option, including education in sustainable organic farming methods, making a marked difference in the lives of these Indian farmers.

Why Fair Trade?
With your help, we’re making a difference to the lives of those who produce our turmeric.

Your Fair Trade contributions are being used for:
  • Ongoing education for farmers explaining new techniques which will help to increase crop yield and reduce waste
  • Water conservation structures to store run-off water for use in the dry season
  • Solar lamps which enable students to carry on with their studies during power cuts and so reduce the risk of damaging their eyes from reading in a poor light

Lovely aromatic turmeric: I use it in the loaves I bake (add ground black pepper and a tablespoonful of olive oil, for best absorption). This smells much better than the turmeric I've bought in the past, in supermarkets and in health food shops.

This turmeric tastes amazing and I can often be found with my face in the tub sniffing when I should be cooking. It's like no other turmeric I've tried. It also keeps its flavour for a long time. I've had mine close to a year and just finished it, and it still smelled and tasted wonderful. I was worried about the lining of the tub containing possible plastic, as many of this kind of tub do, and wrote that in my original review; but in the comments I was reassured that the lining doesn't contain plastic. It's brilliant for a company to care enough to make sure of that.

I use quite a lot of turmeric and find that the little ones you buy from the supermarket run out quite quickly. This one from Lucy Bee is a good size and it's organic too. I use quite a few Lucy Bee products and have never been let down my any of them so I knew this would be a good purchase.

"M. A

Good quality Turmeric

Lucy bee already had a good reputation, this product smells fab can't wait to try it.

Great value and product

the pack is a bit large for me but I could not find a smaller pack that looked reliable and organic. And this is fair trade as well, so I bought it although I do decant it into smaller containers so that I can sprinkle it. I sprinkle a bit on things like scrambled eggs (also makes them a prettier yellow). Turmeric seems to be a bit of a wonder food and is supposed to have all sorts of benefits (anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, good for arthritis, blood sugars and loads of others good things, even supposed to help prevent cancer) and I haven't found any side effects, so seems to be a good idea to take it on a regular basis

Grrreat!!! Love this turmeric, its a no brainer, buy it! Much better than the stuff in the supermarkets!

"Elaine T

Excellent quality.

"Michelle K

I always prefer to use fresh turmeric root but this is the next best thing for when it is difficult to get hold of....

"Gursel H

Very good!!! All Lucy Bee products are very good.

Far superior to the turmeric available in supermarkets. Has a pleasing aromatic taste and can be added to a variety of dishes, not just curries. I bought this for myself and family members because of the proven health benefits of turmeric - it is a bonus that it actually tastes nice as well as being good for you! Great service and great product.

Excellent Product !!!!!

"Evangelos S

Tastes awesome. Sooo much better than any supermarket stuff.

"Rebecca M

Great quality, tastes great. I eat it for its anti inflammatory properties :)

"Amazon A

Excellent. I read about how good this is for an anti inflammatory and I know it works well with black pepper and coconut oil so I've been experimenting and I have found that adding a bit to scrambled eggs or omelettes works well. I know you can make golden milk with it but I haven't tried that yet. I've added it to mashed potato and corned beef hash and it has been delicious.

Turmeric is one of those items we tend to only put into curries. It should be used much more widely due to its health benefits.

"Kate D

Great quality and prompt delivery. Handy container too. I've be using mine to make Golden Milk (delicious with coconut blossom nectar) as well as face scrub, tooth whitening. It has so many wonderful benefits, I'm going to sneak it in everywhere I can.

Use it for making my make up and it's great
