How to Use

Lucuma is becoming more and more popular as a natural sweetener. We like to add our Lucuma Powder to smoothies, yoghurt,mix it into desserts and baked goods to add both sweetness and a whole host of nutritional goodness.

Grown on small, family run plantations, native to the highlands of costal Peru, this delicately flavoured tropical fruit is often referred to as the 'Gold of the Incas'.

Lucuma is a fruit. Lucy Bee Lucuma Powder, from Peru, is the dried and milled fruit containing carotene and B-vitamins. It is a natural sweetener.

  1. What is Lucuma Powder Used for? 

Lucy Bee Lucuma Powder is a natural sweetener and can be used in smoothies, yoghurt, home bakes and desserts, such as mousse, brownies. It also works in soups, sauces or dishes requiring a hint of sweetness.

  1. What is Lucuma Fruit? 

Lucuma fruit is a fruit native to Peru, which looks similar to an apricot but tastes different. Eaten raw, the fruit has a dry texture so it’s more usually used in juices and shakes. Lucuma powder is the dried fruit which is milled to a powder and used as a natural sweetener. 

  1. How to Make Lucuma Ice Cream? 


2 frozen bananas

250ml almond milk

1 tbsp. Lucy Bee Coconut Oil

1 tbsp. Lucy Bee Lucuma Powder

1 tsp. vanilla essence


12 pecans


  1. In a food processor blitz together, all of the ingredients.
  2. Transfer to a covered container and freeze for 30 minutes, or longer.
  3. Remove from the freezer, top with the pecans and allow to stand for a few minutes before serving.
